ABOUT ME

French Real Estate Agent Having come to France for the first time, alone at 17 years old, at the urging of my French teacher, I was immediately struck with the desire to live here. Although my first visit was somewhat of a disaster because my French wasn't very good and I was quite shy but I just loved the environment, architecture, history, countryside, food, art and all France had to offer. I knew then that someday I would come and live here.

LATER

Notre DameSeveral years later I had the opportunity to come to Paris and study. During this time I lived to the fullest of my dreams visiting all the haunts of Jack Kerouac and Ernest Heminway to name a few. I wanted to be in the exact street, church or café that was mentioned in their novels and to experience what they experienced. I wanted to feel what they felt at the time.
During my studies I had the chance to live in several towns in France and move around a lot. This gave me the chance to make friends all over France. At the end of studies I was lucky enough to find a job with a well know American photographer of LIFE Magazine, Mr. Bradley Smith, who was beginning a project to create a book entitled "France a History in Art", depicting the history of France through its art. I was employed as his assistant, chauffeur, and sometimes interpreter. We traveled all over France photographing art in all major museums of France. There are not many sectors I have not visited.
When I discovered the southwest of France I knew immediately that this was the place I wanted to live. It immediately reminded me of southern California with the mountains and the sea but yet unspoiled and over populated.

REAL ESTATE

Saint Jean de Luz BeachI have been here now for 10 years and I can't imagine living anywhere else. The climate, landscape, environment with the blending of mountains countryside and sea, and the quality of life is something I have not been able to find elsewhere in my travels. I decided to pursue this work of helping others find the residence of their dreams here in France because I know that there are others who feel the same as me about France and particularly this area of France known as The Pays Basque.
Having decided to share my enthusiasm for the lifestyle in France and before beginning my career in real estate I decided I wanted to be competent and informed in the law and rules of the French Real Estate. I attended the Institut de Formation des Professions de l'Immobilier, in Bordeaux, France for studies in theory and practice in the profession of real estate agent.

WHAT'S IMPORTANT

Saint Jean de LuzOne very import thing I learned while attending this institute was that laws can change often. It is not an easy task for someone uninformed to buy a house in France and it is important to ask many questions and be meticulous in your search. It means finding someone who listens to you and understands what type of residence you desire, someone who you can trust and rely on to protect your interest and not waste your time. Someone who can communicate to you the information you need in making an intelligent choice. Someone who has made the transition to living in France and through my experience I will help you. In order to assure that all transactions are completed in strict respect to French law.
